UCD_logoOn the occasion of Universal Childrenโ€™s Day (20 November), the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA), the Council of Europe, and the European
Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), published the Handbook on European law
relating to rights of the child.

This handbook is the first comprehensive guide to European law in the area of children's rights, taking into account the case law of the ECtHR and the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU), as well as the decisions of the European Committee of Social Rights.

The handbook aims to illustrate how European law and case law accommodate the specific interests and needs of children. Furthermore it attempts to raise awareness and improve the knowledge of the legal standards that protect and promote childrenโ€™s rights in Europe.
