Comments Off on Open Access agreement with Brill

Recently Dutch University Libraries have reached an agreement with publisher Brill. UvA staff and students now have access to all Brill journals and corresponding authors can publish their articles Open Access without any costs in a total of 317 hybrid and full Open Access Brill journals.

The agreement applies in 2020 and 2021. Brill Online Journal Collection consists of 65 titles on International Law and Human Rights, including subscriptions to European Investment Law and Arbitration Review Online, International Labour Law Reports Online and the new journal to be released The European Convention on Human Rights Law Review.

How does Open Access publishing work?

  • Use your institutional email address and institutional network during submission. Make clear that you are affiliated with an eligible institute.
  • The article will be published Open Access after acceptance without any costs.
  • Another possibility is contacting Brill directly at brillopen@brill.com to request to make a publication Open Access.

Articles that have already been published in 2020 will be published Open Access retroactively.

Use the Open Access Journal Browser to find out if a specific journal is part of the agreement.
