refworld2Did you know the Netherlands was the first country to use UNHCR's internet-based Refworld as its main information tool in determining asylum claims? The agreement was signed in Geneva on 21 January 2009.

Refworld is the leading source of information necessary for taking quality decisions on refugee status. Refworld is updated daily and includes special features on topics of importance to UNHCR such as refugee status determination, statelessness, migration, gender equality and women, internally displaced people, resettlement, voluntary repatriation and children.

Refworld is therefore a useful database to find relevant case law concerning Refugee Law and Human Rights Law. You can search in Refworld for national and international case law, including administrative bodies and tribunals, under the 'Jurisprudence' button.

RefworldsnipSelect 'Topics' under the button 'Browse by' to find documents covering a wide subject area in alphabetical order or by category such as human rights, immigration law, national law, international crimes and others.
