Get a book, give a book! 📚

📗 Did you know there is a bookexchange bookcase in building REC A? In this bookcase, you'll find books that are discarded by the Law Library.

📘 Do you have (study) books of your own that you no longer use? Put them on the shelves and share them with your fellow students!

📕 You can find the bookcase at the entrance of the Library Learning Space on the first floor.

❗️ Starting Tuesday, 1 October, the silent study room in the Law Library will be accessible only to Amsterdam Law School students (including PPLE) and staff between 9:00 and 17.00. Don't forget to bring your activated student/staff card!

After 17:00, the collection and study places in the study room are also available to other library users.

The library desk area remains accessible to all library users. During the opening hours of the Law Library, all visitors can:

✅ collect requested (Law) Library materials
✅ borrow compulsory reading material
✅ return borrowed materials
✅ use copy, print, scan, and computer facilities
✅ get assistance from the library desk

❓Lost something? Any items found near the Law Library are brought to the Law Library information desk on the fourth floor.

💻Electronics and other valuables are brought to the UVA Service Point at the end of the day. This is the red desk on left side of the entrance hall, on the ground floor.

Welcome back for a new academic year!
From today, our regular opening hours apply again: Monday-Thursday: 9:00 - 18:00 and Friday: 9:00-17:00.

Are you new at the Amsterdam Law School? Here are some some helpful tips for the start of the new academic year:

❗ Don't forget to activate your student ID card so you'll be able to borrow books and use the repro facilities.
🖨️ There are two multifunctionals available for printing, copying, and scanning.
📚 Compulsory reading material is available at the Law Library desk for one day loan.
💻 The Law Library has over 150 study places for law students. More study places are available at the Learning Spaces A0 and A1 in building REC A. Check the overview of locations on our website for all available study spaces (link in bio).
